Men’s Tudor Era Fashion

This photo of Henry VIII is a great example of the fashionable “slashes” that were cut into the sleeves. As you can see, the under shirt has been pulled through to show little puffs. Yes, those little tuffs of color are the undershirt pulled through holes. This technique was all the rage! That must have really slowed down getting dressed, but also must have given some poor servant a great job! Can you imagine, “ But, Your Majesty, you must sit still, I haven’t finished with your little puffs!”
